Waiting for you

When God ask us to wait, He is not wasting our time. He is not deceiving us or whiling away our precious time. He  has a better plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Most of the time, God's plans are not palatable to us, because we don't see the way He is seeing. We could  go the way of our  instinct  but it leads us to tragedy and loss.  One thing to know is that we don't walk, live, do, run  by instinct, but by faith.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
For we walk by faith, not by sight

One of my prayer is that God should order our steps always.  It is good to wait if God says so. Actuating our own plan B,C......Z etc  will only disrupt God's plan for our lives. Although, it is very painful to wait, but waiting upon God is highly rewarding.
Psalm 27:14  (KJV)
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
At the end of waiting we will realise that God's ways is the best.
So, don't jealous.
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Don't  be anxious... Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Don't be apprehensive..
Don't be envious.
Don't be  intolerant.
Don't be possessive.
Don't be skeptical
Stay cool..He that has started  a good work in you will surely finish it.
Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Just wait.

Celebration of freedom

Although my  felicitation is coming late, but it is never too late to wish us happy celebration...yes we celebrate the country freedom. don't we?
Every particular day of the year, every country celebrate her freedom, and during one of those celebration we had some time to celebrate it with friends in church.
The day was awesome, lot of flag in the air, on cars,  and houses.
People went out to the beaches, surfing and the real outdoor eating..Barbeque.
Lot of barbeque..hotdog, burger, steak.....etc...yum.. yum ...yum
It is really good to celebrate  freedom  and really good to be free.
In all this I was not carried away to know that somebody actually came to set us free in total.
Jesus Christ came several years ago to set the whole world free, but it only a few that know, appreciate  and actually celebrate this.
John 10:10b (KJV)
... I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 8:36 (NLT)
So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

Do we actually know what it mean to be free?
This is the question that many actually cannot answer, if we cannot define freedom, then we are still bound under the circumstances we cannot define.

What is freedom?
How do we gain freedom? ..
Are we actually free?
When are we free?

A lot of   these type of question on freedom actually filled my mind.
The only freedom i  know that free us from all fears and worries, is the freedom in Christ Jesus.
That is the only freedom that free all nation,  no matter where you are, where you are born or raised and who you are.
It is the only freedom that unites us all and give us equal opportunity .
In Christ Jesus we have liberty in total.
2 Corinthians 3:17  (NLT)
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

If you don't have Christ, all you have experience is not compare to what Jesus Christ had in stock for you.
Freedom is when you know that economic breakdown cannot affect you.
Philippians 4:19 (NLT)
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Freedom is when you don't fear death because you know death has been defeated
1 Corinthians 15:55 (NLT)
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?"

Freedom is when you know,  no man can harm you because you are protected.
Psalm 23:4 (NLT)
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me

Freedom is when you know God cares for you, He knows your name.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT)
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."

Freedom is when you know you  have a future.
Proverbs 23:18  (NIV)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Freedom is when you asked and it is given, when you seek and found, when you knocked and doors were opened
Matthew 7:7 (NLT)
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

Freedom is when there is hope for you after this life.
John 14:3 (KJV)
"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Freedom is when you are not afraid of the weapon of the enemy, because He that is in you is greater than He that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 (NLT)
But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Isaiah 54:17  (KJV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Freedom is when you sleep and you  are not scared to have dreams,  if you do..you will overcome victoriously in the dream. The dream will be a great revelation..
Psalm 127:2 (NIV)
In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.

So I will pause for you to re-define freedom in your own words.
...........................................................
............................................................
................................................................
................................................................
................................................................
................................................................

Now, what is freedom to you?
When do you think you are free?
What is your freedom based on?
Who gives, sanction and ascertain your freedom?
How did you gain freedom..? if none..how do you plan to be free?

Jesus is the only one who can give you freedom you seek elsewhere.
Freedom from fear, death, debt, .......and so on.
The only way to be free is to accept, submit to Jesus Christ and follow Him totally.
Then your freedom is guaranteed.

Misconceptions about Christianity.

Misconceptions about Christianity.

I am a Christian because my name originates from the bible.
The name we bear doesn't make us a Christian, Our repentance from our sinful ways, acceptance of Jesus Christ and followership of His will is what make us His son. There are several people with good names in the bible that have nothing to reckoned  with.

I am a Christian because I go to church.
The Church is not a qualification for our name to be written in the book of life. The church is not a building, in fact we people are the church. We are advice to meet regularly so that we can grow in spirit together as well as get help when we need it. The church is not a qualification of our name being written in the book of life, it is our personal encounter with Christ Jesus that matters.
Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

I am a Christian because I wear  something that show Jesus Christ anywhere I am going.
What we wear does not really portray who we are. Because I wear an expensive  shoe does not make me a rich man. Because I live in a mansion does not say I don't owe people money . What we wear could be an expression of our love for Christ Jesus or even as a means or evangelizing the gospel of Jesus Christ, but not a qualification of being a follower of Jesus Christ.

I am a Christian because my parents are.
You need your own story.
You need you own personal encounter with Christ Jesus, this is what makes you a Child of God...Your personal encounter.
Your parent can  give birth to you in the church.
Your parent can  give you biblical names.
Your parent can make you go to church by force.
Your parent can  teach you the bible,
but they cannot save you..in fact their salvation cannot save you.
Your salvation is personal..it must be you and your God.
Romans 10:9 (NLT)
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

I am a Christian because I put the bible under my pillow while sleeping.
The bible is not meant to be a pillow.
The bible contains all we need  (for more on these  read @  http://working-faith.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/the-word-of-god-and-word-of-man.html)
We have to read and meditate in it to have a good success.
Joshua 1:8  (NLT)
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.

The bible is not a novel..it is the word of God that answers all our question
It tell us the weapon and equip us for all our fight.
It heals all our wound.
It cures all our diseases.
It straightens all crooked path.
It explains what is yet to come.
It is not a book...It is the word of the Almighty God.

All these points discussed so far does not make us a Christian, only  our personal encounter with Christ Jesus, our confession of sin, repentances and followership of Jesus Christ does.
Christianity is a life we live and not a religion.
For more on this topic, I will refer you to read one of Working-Faith article   http://working-faith.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/christianity-is-life-it-is-not-just.html

If these words touches your life, and you will like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour. It is simple. Pray a prayer of forgiveness. Acknowledge you are a sinner,  ask Jesus Christ to forgive you all your sins. Call Jesus Christ to fill your heart . If you do this you are save, just look for a church of God around you to join, so as to improve your faith in Christ. Do not forget to read your bible day in and out.

Things to know about over familiarity.

I was out so early on Saturday morning for shopping.
I could have driven my car, but I chose to take the bus.
I was at the bus stop  for several hours waiting for the bus.
Several buses had passed, but I was still waiting.
At last I decided to approach the bus chart to know if any information was put on earlier about bus delay.
When I approached the board, I was shocked...
All the buses coming for the past hours were actually going to the shopping mall, but because I was used to a particular bus number, colour and direction which has been changed recently, I was waiting for long for the bus that will not come.
This incidence touched me a lot, I learnt so much from it and  I will be sharing some of what I learnt with you.

I call it over familiarity.
I have been so familiar with the bus number, type, colour  and direction that I missed several buses because these things were changed.
So also sometimes we could be too familiar with Jesus Christ  our heavenly father that we take his instructions for granted.
We could also be too familiar with the Holy spirit that we don't ask him for instructions anymore.
We could be too familiar with the bible, that we lose the message God is passing to us.
Because we have read the bible more than 50 times, we could get so familiar with the word of God  that when others read, we don't listen.
We could be so familiar with our pastor that when God speaks through Him, we take it as a man that is speaking.
It is more worse, if our pastor is our dad, mum or our brother..we just say..isn't it my brother preaching..
This was exactly what happen to Jesus Christ in His town..
John 1:11  (NLT)
He came to his own people, and even they rejected him.
I know many would have been saying..Isn't that Jesus the son of the carpenter..
Isn't that Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph.
By doing this, they miss out  the agenda of God for their life.
By doing this, they miss out of the great plan and history which is to be writing about them.
I will like us to take some time off and think of which area we have been so familiar with Jesus Christ and His doing that we don't even see his magnanimity and sovereignty anymore.
We don't pray anymore because we think  we can pray anywhere.
We don't read our bible anymore..because we think we have a soft copy on our tablets and phones.
Hasn't our over familiarity senses taken us far away from Jesus Christ?
We need to come close and see where we are now.
Let the first love be restored..
Revelation 2:4  (NLT)
"But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first!
Let us go back to our first love  for Jesus Christ.
Let not be too familiar with Jesus Christ  work and leading.
If these words touches your life, and you will like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior or renew your faith in him.

If you love me..come and see my dad!

If you love me..come and see my dad.
If you love me come home and chat with my mum..
Come and see my family....
I don't seem to understand you..
I am not being arrogant...it is just the truth.
It is so funny or what do you want me to call it?
We have been together  as friends for years and  anytime I tell you to come  and see my parent, you will say no..
I hope it is not what I am thinking?
You want me, but you don't want to see  my parents..uh.. fishy..
At least, at the onset I thought it was because it was too early..
Sometimes I think maybe you are shy..
It is damn too long to believe you still say the same words.."NOT NOW".
It is high time I snap out of my sleep..this is not being shy  or too early..
The reality is you don't want to see my parents..but why?
Are you scare of my parents or better, you aren't interested in my family ?..
If you loved me, then see my parent....

This is actually what  transpire between the Christians and the world..
The world love Christians and what they portray.
They love to swear -in their leaders with the Word of God.
They want to get marry to a Christian, because they  are faithful.
They love to get married in the church in the presence of a pastor.
They want their children to be born in Christian homes and hospitals, in the presence of a Christian midwife.
They love to give their children Christian names.
They want their children to be in the church during their early days of their life for prayer.
They love to take their children to Christian daycare.
They love their children to study in Christian schools, because they feel safer.
They love to tell Christians their problems so that they can get good advice.
They want to share office with Christians because it is more safer.
They want Christians to pray for them when they are in trouble.
They want the church to pray for the country when the country is in jeopardy.
They want to invite Christians to their home for coffee...
But they never want to know the father of Christians..Jesus Christ.
They want all except that...
They want to talk about all..but not about Jesus Christ.
They want good advice but not in the name of Jesus Christ.
They want healing, but not with Jesus Christ....

If you love me..
If you love my attitude.
If you love my act of living life.
If you like me..
See my parent..
My parent is God the Father, the Son and Holy spirit.
All this you see in Christians that you like, you will have if you take my advice. Just  see my father..Jesus Christ and be with Him.
John 10:10 (NLT)
The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

You need help, don't talk to me...talk to my father, He owns all including you...
He will give you more than what you ask..because He knows all you want..
He knows your name.....
Jeremiah 1:5 (NLT)
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."

If you love me..come and see my dad.

If these words touches your life, and you will like to have what Christians have that makes them to be full of life and happy, you want to command like Christians, be safe like Christians, be strong like Christians.

Wrong password..

I have tried logging into my account several times but couldn't get in.
Each time I press enter, I got wrong password complain as a feedback.
The rejection sign was troubling.
I felt so embarrassed because I was on the podium trying to present to a group.
Could I be wrong?
Could it be that I forgot my password?
At last I agreed I was wrong and the computer was right.
Luckily my son knows the password, so I called Him.
He gave me the correct password, lo and behold ..it went through..
Such is life I thought...................................................

Many times we keep trying  to make things right with the wrong tools.
Many times we think God doesn't answer us .
It is just because we are not asking the right thing.
James 4:3 (ESV)
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

We can't correct evil with evil,
neither can we cheat God.
If we have the wrong tool, we will end up wasting our time and being wasted.
You can't pay a debt by stealing..you have just own a bigger debt.
The best way to live is to live right,
and we can't live right without Christ Jesus in our life.
Jesus  Christ is the only password that opens the book of life and writes our name in it.
It is in Jesus Christ  only that we are made whole.
Have you been trying to log into freedom?
Have you been trying to log into success?
Have you been trying to log into eternal hope and life?
You need Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the right password to use.
John 14:6 (NLT)
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

To have all you want, accept Jesus Christ  to your life.
If you have before, but far away from your creator, renew your love for him.

If the Word of God in this blog touches your life, and you will like to be a child of God. It is simple. Pray a prayer of forgiveness. Acknowledge you are a sinner,  ask Jesus Christ to forgive you all your sins. Call Jesus Christ to fill your heart .
